Baidu unveils its camera-based Apollo Lite self-driving suite

Baidu announced its new Apollo Lite system, which it says uses 20 cameras and no lidar or radar to achieve Level 4 autonomy.

Another major AV producer that is in line with Elon Musk's position of not believing lidar is a necessary component of autonomous vehicle sensor suites.
